Sharon Mozley is a Ph.D. student in David Porter's lab at the University of Georgia. Her research involves a specific clade of chytrids within the Chytridiomycetes called the Nowakowskiella clade. By combining both molecular and morphological characters, she hopes to hammer out a more well-defined phylogeny for the clade. Part of this will be to determine the generic limits of the genera within the clade that will in turn be used to create a key to genera. This work is a part of a larger chytrid PEET grant, the main goal of which is to update the monograph by Frederick K. Sparrow (1980).  You can check out her personal page by clicking on her name.
